Rotary drill stabilizers

Sandvik Rotary Stabilizer

There are two different types of stabilizers, the welded and the rotating roller stabilizer.

The welded blade stabilizers are commonly used to stabilize and control hole deviation. They provide smoother bores and faster penetration rates due to more efficient bit performance.

Roller stabilizers provide more reaming and cutting action than a welded blade stabilizer and are typically used in hard rock environments. Roller stabilizers utilize the largest possible diameter rollers and bearings that are practical for a specified hole size.
